Default Who could be the "emergency" QB?

mgteich's roster thread got me to thinking about this.

The rule is simple: in addition to the 45-man roster, a team is allowed to have an "emergency" QB who dresses up but does not start the day on the 45-man roster. That emergency QB can enter the game, if necessary, but if he should enter before the end of the third quarter, neither of the starting quarterbacks can re-enter the game.

Right now, the only other Patriot I can think of who's played QB is Troy Brown--and he's not officially a Pat.

So--does anyone know if any of the other Pats have played/can play QB? Obviously, not being forced to carry a third QB would free up a spot somewhere else in the roster.

It is Troy Brown.

It was fine -- a little pooch punt, IIRC.

Who else but Troy Brown? Pats need to get him signed before the earth opens up and swallows Gillette Stadium.
