Re: I guess you could say the Patriots are America's Most Hated now
Two ways it can go...
1) You sign who you want to sign (i.e., Dillon, for example,) and who gives a crap that you're "supposed" to get it done with "character guys," as long as they turn into character guys when they arrive. I don't give a crap if it's like that.
2) These guys transform the Pats, not the other way around, which I think is what the original poster is saying... to me, that's bull****. In the long run it's a matter of "building a team, not collecting talent." I don't think BB stops understanding that just because of one huge offseason.
Either way, yes, we are Americas Most Hated Team.
Caveat - by the way, this amazingly talented team can go the way of the Rams in 2000, if we don't behave like a less talented team.
It's not a matter of who these guys are, it's who this team is. I think this will be, in the sense of the word we're used to, a Patriots team. I'm pretty sure that's why we were winning without the big names, and living around DC, I'm pretty sure that's a way to lose even with the big names -- losing the team cohesion and team-first attitude.
