Some people taker longer to grow up than others, especially when he is showered with $ millions for playing a child's game, that came so effortlessly.

Randy Moss at 18, Randy Moss at 22, are not the same person as Randy Moss at 30 years old.

He was never a thug like Pacman, but a young rebel, smoking pot, and loafing, and raising hell and being outrageous. The meter maid incident had to be blown up out of all proportion, else he would have been charged.

Now he feels his athletic mortality, gave up $17 million dollars ( !!!!) and came to play for a piece of jewelry that he can buy with pocket change.

Why? Because he wants the intangibles now. Recognition and immortality of sorts in the Hall of Fame.

Meet Corey Dillon redux...

He didn't "give up" 17mil. Obviously, Raiders were NEVER going to pay him that. Get those rose coloreds off.

They'll find out Randy can't run consistently anymore. He'll drive [Tom] Brady and [Bill] Belichick crazy. This is just my personal opinion from what I saw: He's losing his legs. He's becoming an old man fast.

Az, nice use of Pauline rhetoric, you get an A+! [In this case I use rhetoric as a value neutral term - I'm just trying to say, sincerely, excellent pull!]

What is so stupid or dumb about what King wrote? The one thing that is true that is at the heart of a lot of the criticisms of the trade is that Moss has dogged it in the past. He's not Dillon, who always played hard, Moss has given up on plays and admitted it. Now I'm real excited about this and I think it will work, but the criticisms are valid, and I have no problem with media people saying it. I'm sick of all the Patriot butt kissing anyway

2) Peter King: I agree with what he wrote in his column in regards to Moss dogging it in the past. I'm hoping that's in the past, as this is the only problem I have with him coming to the Pats. I didn't want this to happen, and after thinking about this for a day, I know why: I take a certain amount of pride in the fact that the Pats were able to build a dynasty without sacrificing their principles. They're now on the clock with Moss, as anyone who's ever worked next to someone who is not doing their job knows, this is a cancer that can't be introduced into a team without a negative impact.
Right, exactly.

I do think this will work though, and I am very excited. But if he dogs it, he's out, goodbye, see ya. I can't imagine him doing that with Brady, but you never know. No one in that lockerroom cares that he's Randy Moss, he has to go out on the field and prove he will work hard and contribute in a positive way. I think he'll do it.
