Default Could something have been worked out with Asante?

No cornerbacks drafted. Could the front office have arranged a workable longterm deal, so as to have enough room to pay Moss?

They could have insisted on media silence so as to throw other teams off track and assume the Pats would target cbs in the draft.

Perhaps, but I bet it doesn't happen till after june 1, when they can add the 2.5 mil from Dillon back on the books.

I think so. If we aren't planning on signing Asante to a long term deal, we'd have drafted a CB already. We'll see what happens though as we're on the clock as I type this.

WTF? Another DE? I thought our front three were the best in the NFL? What the hell are we doing drafting defensive lineman?

I wonder if the money left over from only having to sign one first round draft pick can be allocated to an Asante long term deal or even an extension for Ty Warren perhaps?
