Default Of all of this draft class of 2007 Who Fits Best As A Patriot from what you've seen?

Who shows signs of being a true New England Patriot?,A guy that will blend in with the guys in the locker room, will be media shy and quiet and will help out in doing whatever it takes to help us win as a T-E-A-M?

The guy can be a player we probably won't be able to draft because he's up high or maybe he's well within reach - It don't matter here-either way

Who fits best of all?

My Choice is.....

Paul Posluszny - He may not be the biggest defender at his position coming out of the draft but from what I see in him He has plenty of heart, plays hard and to the whistle and has played in pain on top of the fact he played at arguably one of the best Linebacker Colleges in the country in Penn State (history says so)
He will be the kind of guy Bruschi and Zach Thomas have been all these years - Not Big,Not a guy that stands far out on the team but a guy that blends in perfectly, helps win games and does not make stupid mistakes.

And thats the bottom line -Winning and Desire,I think he has IT

Paul should still be around at our low round 1 picks

A Close runner up - Adam Carriker - He won't be anywhere near #24 pick

Eric Weddle Utah Safety, does whatever the team needs, smart kid who can pick up things quickly. From CBS sportsline.

Quote:
Utah's Eric Weddle is a four-year starter who played nine different positions for the Utes. He was a terror as a safety, producing 18 interceptions, including three returned for touchdowns. He also held Georgia Tech's Calvin Johnson to two catches in the Emerald Bowl where he was named MVP. "He could be the steal of this draft," said one scout.

Oh yeah accounted for 27 TO's between int's funbles he makes lots of good football plays.

We just have to try to evaluate them the best we can."

I like the linebacker from Michigan, the linebacker from PSU, and finally Michael Griffin Safety from Texas. (Actually I like Landry better, but no way he drops to us)

Yes, Harris would be my guy. Nothing against Poz, Harris looks to me a better fit for the defense with his size/speed blend, and his experience as a 3-4 ILB. He could come in immediately and fill in the Ted Johnson role that has been vacant the past two years. As he matures, he has the speed to develop the coverage ability necessary to become a 3 down linebacker.

Vrabel/Thomas/Harris/Colvin with Bruschi and Seau in the rotation would be as solid a LB coprs as we've had.

I think Anthony Gonzalez is a player who fits the Patriots personality to a T.

Posz - ugh. If the Pats take him, I'll cry. He's not AJ Hawk, fellas. He's a bit too slow and not as effective a playmaker LB, which is exactly what we need - an infusion of youth, speed and athleticism there. Posz gives us ONE of those, and it ain't the latter two.

Am I the only one who figures we're all going to be saying "WTF?" when the Pats make their day one choices? We've been caught flatfooted almost every time!?!? . . .

I see Griffin and Harris as two really good fits in our defense. Staley and Gonzalez on the other side of the ball.

I agree, I'd much rather have Beason or Harris.
