Here's my take on it.

TOM BRADY - He plays like Joe Montana, has the same spirit, technique and looks to have just as long of a career

LAURENCE MARONEY - Maroney gives me more of a Warrick Dunn feel than Steven Jackson.

BEN WATSON - A very, very immature Kellen Winslow Sr.

DAN KOPPEN - Can't disagree with Jeff Saturday.

WES WELKER - Our own TROY BROWN is the most similar player to Wes out there right now.

RICHARD SEYMOUR - Seymour really is unique in what he does. The closest I can think of is Alan Page, who moved from a promising defensive end career to play tackle with the Vikings and Bears in the '70s.

TEDI BRUSCHI - Zach Thomas is also a good pick here.

ASANTE SAMUEL - Rashean Mathis seems like a more apt comparison to me here.

RODNEY HARRISON - Adrian Wilson is by far the best comparison here. He hits hard and still can defend the pass.

BILL BELICHICK - MIKE SHANAHAN. Can't disagree here.

TOM BRADY - I compare him to a very young Brad Johnson BUT ONLY when Brad was much younger - Both are very smart in the pocket, make few errors and find the open guy,Manning has a different type of play so I don't think he resembles Brady when it comes to Quarterback presence and positioning.

No one has suggested a good comparison for Richard Seymour yet. Strahan is a pass rushing DE. Alan Page was a quickness penetrating DT not at all like SeyMonsta.

There were a several of guys I can think of that fit more the style and value of Richard. Dan Hampton, was the heart and soul for the great Bears teams. Dent and ice box got the headlines but Hampton was th foundation that let them play.

Bob Lilly was the prototypical DT who made the Cowboys into winner and created the "Doomsday" defense. Like "Danimal", Lilly wasn't in the spotlight but his presence let a lot of others excel.

Another guy that would fit the category is Merlin Olsen of the Rams. While Deacon Jones racked up the Sacks, it was Merlin shutting down the run and demanding doubles that opened up the Field for the Deacon, just like Hampton opened the field for Richard Dent.

A fourth guy is mean Joe Greene of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was the foundation tackle, that made it all possible for the others to excel. He and Fats Holmes protected Jack Ham to do his thing. Mean Joe anchored the line to allow the DE to offer a fierce rush.

The thing all had in common were that they were big, 6-5 to 6-6 and 280+ and totally dominant at their positions and fundamentally sound. They all were "foundation" linemen that you build a Defense not just a D-line around.

I'm not crazy about this comparison either. Maroney is much bigger than Warrick Dunn. I've heard Dunn described as a pinball who bounces off tacklers as he sneaks up the middle. That doesn't seem like Maroney to me.

Wes Welker - Wayne Chrebet/Ricky Proehl - 3rd down, pesky WR, will make valuable/needed plays

Maroney - Clinton Portis..fast and underestimated strength

Yeah he did at the end of the 2005 season after he suffered a bad concussion.

Fair enough. However, both runners have excelled in a zone-blocking system and both runners have decent breakaway speed as well as good durability. Truth be told, no one in the NFL really bears the same running style as Maroney right now, and I think that's a good thing, not a bad thing.
