this signing has me scratching my head his agent said he wont be ready until october, and his career is nothing to get excited about, he is the type of player with his serious injury would be a street free agent in october, i can only guess hes come highly reccomended by Saban, in Beoli we trust

WR deals

The terms of contracts for WRs Donte' Stallworth and Kelley Washington had been reported by NFL.com, the league's official web site, when the players agreed to terms with the Patriots.

Here is a bit more on the base-salary structure of those contracts:

Donte' Stallworth

2007: $700,000
2008: $1 million
2009: $1 million
2010: $4 million
2011: $4 million
2012: $4 million

NFL.com had reported that Stallworth received a $1 million signing bonus, and also can receive a $1.6 million roster bonus and $300,000 workout bonus in 2007. In the latest edition of Sports Illustrated, Peter King wrote that the $1.6 million roster bonus is split into 16 parts of $100,000 each, meaning that Stallworth would receive $100,000 for each game he's on the roster.

Kelley Washington

2007: $600,000
2008: $900,000
2009: $1.9 million
2010: $2.4 million
2011: $2.4 million

NFL.com had reported that Washington received a $300,000 signing bonus.

EXTRA POINTS: While Stallworth's deal looks like a six-year package and Washington's appears to be a five-year package, both contracts include significant bonus payments that come due in February/March of 2008. So, in essence, they both could be one-year deals based on where those option bonuses are placed in the contracts. ... The contract signed by CB Eddie Jackson on Monday is for multiple years, which ties into the fact he probably won't be ready to play until October due to a torn ACL.
