Apologies if this has already been addressed elsewhere but while catching up online,I saw a Reiss blurb noting Corey never made the trip (to the dismay of Buff).

Dillon update
Running back Corey Dillon did not make his trip to the Buffalo Bills today. The Bills had hoped to host Dillon.
Adam Caplan of scout.com first reported the news on Dillon. The Bills' media relations department confirmed that Dillon did not make the trip.
Does this mean possible retirement or is he hoping to go elsewhere or?

Dillon does not want to go back to a losing team. I'm sure he still has nightmares about his time with the Bengals. Any team that he signs with will be a playoff contender. Buffalo didn't make the playoffs and got worse on paper this off season so that pretty much explains his cancellation.
I wouldn't be surprised if he joins a good team as a backup probably sometime after the draft. He still has something left.

I wish he was still here. I agree that he still has something left. He can be a valuable player at 10-15 touches a game. However, listening to Pioli's interview, it sounded like it was more of a Patriots' decision than Dillon wanting to leave.

he's running out of teams to go to
whoever his agent is, isnt doin too well of a job as an advisor
its not like corey is in a position where he can really stipulate like that where he wants to go and where he doesnt

we'll have to check with miguel
but we've prob already spent as much having morris here this yr as we would have having corey in here
given the cap hit we took to cut corey
plus i have a decent amount of faith in morris
i think he has more in the tank than corey right now
remember how slow corey looked the last two yrs beantownbob?

what opportunity is avail that IS what ur lookin for?
i kinda feel bad for clock killin
here are locations i think are possible, but none seem to be exactly what hes lookin for (winner AND place he can get 15 plus carries)
pitt-would only get like 8-10 carries and goal line like he was gettin here
titans-team on the rise, could be good fit if chris brown isnt coming back
philly-wouldnt get enough carries
chicago-could be decent spot
green bay-i dont see them goin with another aging rb
minnesota-could be nice two headed monster with chester cheetah
tampa-would be the thunder to cadillacs lightning
none seem like a perfect fit though
i guess the closest things to a perfect marriage here are chicago, minnesota, and tampa

How about a possible backup in St. Louis? Steven Jackson and Corey Dillion would be a nightmare for teams. I'll make a prediction, if we can get that run stuffing DT, and we have a healthy Corey Dillion, I would not be shocked to see the Rams in the Super Bowl. Then again, we do play in the NFC, so it is possible.
But, if he did not want to go to Buffalo, he sure would not want to go to Minnesota, because they are going to be real bad nextyear. The team is already revolting against their Head Coach, Brad Childress, who I never thought was a bad hire. Chicago is not going anywhere, with Rex Grossman as the QB. I know they got to the dance lastyear, but I will shock some people, the Bears are going to have a downfall, and the Packers will win the NFC North.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before but this is what I'm thinking. Dillon had no intentions of retiring. The Patriots approached him about taking a pay cut and he balked. They agreed to give him his release to try and find a better deal and if he can't they will bring him back at whatever price they had previously discussed. Thoughts?
