Didn't I remember that we tried to get Jevon Walker 2 years ago when he was a UFA ? We tried to fly below the radar and actually had him come to the Razor Blade stadium ? However, the guy choose to go to Denver instead.

When we lost the Denver last year in the playoff, I keep thinking of that transaction. And when we lost to Indy this year, I still remember that miss opportunity.

I am wondering if anyone know the details of why Jevon Walker choose Denver instead of us ? It could be the money $$$ ?

he visited denver was supposed come here and the broncos persauded him not to and signed him

Deion Branch persuaded him not to. NE actually scheduled 4 different flights and he missed them all.

Despite what some may say when they criticize NE's FO, NE never had a chance of landing Walker.

You might be thinking about Derrick Mason. After he signed with Baltimore, it was leaked that he was sooooo close to signing with the Pats.

Everytime I see the name Welker I keep seeing the name Walker, thus thinking back to draft day when the trade was announced that he was off to Denver for a second.

Mason's wife reportedly squelched that one for us, saying she'd rather live in Baltimore. Branch wrecked the Walker prospect. Who knows about Stallworth. These damn wide receivers are a squirrely bunch.
