Default JUNIOR SEAU? Anything?

Obviously theres multiple threads on a ton of hot stove FA/trade issues right now so I figured I'd post something that I haven't seen mentioned too much...Has anyone heard/read anything about Junior and if he is going to comeback next year with us? I personally think we should bring him back since he can take on guards/make some tackles and on 1st and 2nd down and lend his leadership abilities at a cheap price ....

Ditto! At this point he'd be a solid replacement for Tully Banta-Cain in the depth chart, and insurance in case any of the 4 starters go down.

I recall when they interviewed him in January (in his San Diego area home) he sure sounded like he was hoping the Chargers would give him a call, not the Pats; but who knows.

His heart will always be with San Diego, but I'm sure he'd like another go-around with New England.

I completely agree with you. Hope Pats sign him for one more year to get him a SuperBowl (hopefully) and then he can sign a 1 day next with San Diego to retire if he wants. If we draft a LB in the first round and sign Seau, we'll be set there for this year.

AJ Smith gm of th Bolts has already told Donnie Edwards he will no be invited back to the Team. The other ILB starter had to be coaxed to unretire and play last year. He had hung them up do to the accumulating injuries. he got hurt again las season, but grimly played on.

Wll he return?

If not the Bolts have a much worse situation at ILB than the Pats do. They have a opening for at least one and perhaps both starters, who are both older than Tedy. They do no have a groomed replacement waiting in the wings. Carlos Polk is the designated replacement but he is no sure thing.

I think it is entirely possible for Jr to spend his last year as a Charger, grooming their new LBs into players, whoever they are. Especially, now that BB showed the world that Jr could move inside and wasn't washed up in 2006.
I wouldn't count on having Jr join th Pats. We need to sign someone else, or re-sign TBC.

First of all, TBC doesn't play ILB, he plays OLB position so that is irrelevent to this. Second, TBC signed with the 49ers today.

TBC could free AD to go inside if there is an injury. Is it official??

Ugh. You make a strong case.

But I do want him back.
