Sorry, but it wasn't a $22 million signing bonus unless its been published somewhere. It was $22 million guaranteed. There is a huge difference.

The Clements deal is supposably backloaded in the last two years which he will never see. According to PFT, it is a deal wirth $7.25 million a year.

It will be very interesting to find out if Clements got a signing bonus or if the 49ers guaranteed a certain amount of salary.
