Default Hoping, Hoping Willis falls. . . . .

I Hope he's there at 24. Everything about him, including his life experiences, just jumps off the page at you. His skills are ideal to play in our defense, and he is a big athletic guy that would make a great replacement for Bruschi when he decides to hang 'em up. Will he be there? I sure hope so. . . . . .

I think Willis will be available at 24 but at #24 I think we go with Griffin from Texas whose area on defense may be as big a concern as LB in 2008 with Harrison and Samuel possibly both gone by then retirement and greener pastures in that order,I think LB is addressed at #28-Willis still there by then?-probably not.

We have a few extra picks; lets tradeup a few spots and grab him if needed

Few extra picks to trade up in Round 1 would consist of our 2nd, and maybe 3rd if it was more then 4 spots. I don't see how that is worth it in what appears to be a very deep draft.

this guy is rated 2nd to 4th in LB so we have a good chance.A LB and a DB in the first signed for 5 yrs will be awesome value. then get a WR and LB in 3rd round as we have 2 picks .
2nd round get a good player who can contribute.

Whatever Willis was ranked before the combine will go up after as he's ranked in the top 5 in a lot of categories. I would not be surprised if he is taken in the top 20 by draft day.

While I agree completely that I would NOT trade up for Willis, I disagree about the depth of the draft. To me it looks very deep at WR, pretty deep at S and maybe OT, and otherwise pretty darn weak.

While I think it's very likely Willis goes earlier now that he's had such a strong combine, I have read different sites/scouts who have the guy set to go anywhere from mid-first round to mid-second round. So as unlikely at it is at this point, it's hardly a matter of no chance in Hell, IMO.
