I think Miller is out as the punter. We'll either go with Saubraun or one of the young guys.

I think they should do what they can to hold on to Sauerbrun. It's only a slight exaggeration to say that he almost kept us in the game in the first half of the divisional round in San Diego. We were suffering slow death by poisonous field position and he kept booming the big ones out. And that's when not right at peak fitness either. If he can carry on like that, I see him being a big asset.

As for TE, I think that if Graham goes we assume we have just two. I like David Thomas a lot, but Garrett Mills doesn't even enter the equation until we see him on turf.

I don't understand why Reiss has been advocating that, nor why others on here have.

Miller had Pro-Bowl caliber 2004 and 2005 seasons. Punters' ages are irrelevant. His cap number is fine.

How quickly we forget...

It depends on what's up with his injury and if it will be a problem in the future.

I agree. Unless he has lingering shoulder issues, I see no reason to not bring Miller back. I was not nearly as impressed with Sauerbrun as many here. Sure his punts were long, but his control was nearly as good as Millers. Who knows how Indy's final drive would have ended had they started on their 5 yard line.

Free Josh Miller!

Whoever is the punter next year I just hope he can stay the punter the whole year. I don't want another one of these situations where we are going through them like gym socks and we have to keep signing them off the street.

I, too, was dismayed that Sauerbrun didn't aim for the coffin corner. BB - at the behest of Seeley? - once again overestimated the ability of his coverage unit to down the football inside the 10-yard line, and of his punter to place the ball outside the goal line. What a terribly coached, terribly played 2nd half.

As for TEs: if Graham leaves, then I think that the FO should a vet TE who's a durable, quality blocker. Of the names that Reiss listed, I would be mostly interested in Brady, Bruener and Shiancoe; and Cinci's Kelly and Stewart, if their criminal backround checks are clean, just in case.
