Default Grossman

he singlehandedly lost that game for them...Bears defense played very well and the hester return helped...
what was it...4 turnovers for him? or was it 3 ....plus the play he fumbled on and then tripped and fell...i like the guy but he just doesnt deserve to be starting for a team that good...i think the bears should try to find a new QB next year...thoughts? i know this isnt anything new, we'll see i guess...i was really pushin for the kid too but hes just a nervous wreck out there..

I remember thinking about comments that I have heard regarding Brady Quinn's prospects in the upcoming draft. Some people think he is overrated and may slide like Aaron Rodgers did a couple of years ago.

I don't think Quinn will fall out of the top 10 picks, but if he does fall, the Bears should be doing whatever they can do to trade up.

They cannot go into a season with Grossman as the QB if they expect to compete for a SB.

Actually, I expected the Bears to pull him and put in Griese after the INT was returned for 6, he was done at that point.

Somewhere out there while watching the game Jim Kelly is saying to himself "Man,In those 4 consecutive SB losses as Bills QB I never looked THAT bad")

Maybe our Vinny Testeverde will be available, even at 75 years old he can't be worse than Rex

Rex was horrible! The first INT was an absolute lob into double coverage! He should have been picked at least four times.

Somewhere Neil O'Donnell is smiling, no longer wearing the "Worst performance by a Quaterback in the Super Bowl" T-shirt.

I put the onus on Lovie Smith for not realizing that Grossman does not have what it takes to win a championship -- at least, not yet.

The onus is on Lovey if he had a choice on who he played as QB. Personally, as others have said, I would put in Griese for the last quarter of the season, and for the playoffs.

You wonder how many NFL QBs sat around last night thinking to themselves
that if they were behind center with the Bears' defense, special teams and that offense (Muhammed, Berian, Benson, Jones) they could have won the game or at least made it much more competitive.
This loss is clearly on Lovie. While Rex performed poorly, it's the coach's responsibility to give his team the best chnace to win. Smith clearly did not do that last night or for much of the season, despite the result.....

Rex was horrible, and Lovie should have thrown his sentiment/pride or whatever it was that motivated him, aside and put Greise in. He couldn't have been any worse. How did they manage to get this far with Rex at the helm? Defense is important but you also need an offense that can function.

The fact that the Colts conceded the short field by kicking away from Hester is telling. They absolutely knew Grossman wouldn't beat them.

Da bears offense only needed to put up 16 points for a victory last night...
