Default for all you Chad Jackson lovers

can anybody tell me what this immature injury prone n.f.l. reciever has done that makes everyone so high on him. It concerns me even when he was healthy he couldnt get on the field, did he show any glimpsesof brillance? i watched every play this year and i didnt see much. The patriot reciever position is a difficult one to play you need intelligece to read defenses, just ask Donald Hayes and Bethel johnson, and Doug Gabriel. If by the end of the year he couldnt beat out the 3 in front of him thats something to be concerned about.

So your point is?

Jackson's big test will be next year. If he does not develope into a useful reciever next year, barring injury, he will be a bust. It's just that simple. I don't know anyone who is high on him now but it's too early to count him out.

What he's done to make everyone high on him is irrelevent - what's relevant is that it's no big deal because most (not all) WR do little as rookies.

Same thing next year ? Then your question is valid.

I'm still high on him. A little disappointed that he didn't progress inclemently last year but I'm still high on him.

i agree i just dont uderstand people putting him in as a1or 2 next year. you still have to adress the reciever position and if jackson works out thats a bonus

I agree, you don't build a contender around an unproven commodity. We have to approach the offseason like there's a hole at WR, and if Jackson pays off then we're rewarded with depth.

I think he will do it, seeing him make special teams tackles shows a willingness to go through the ropes in order to improve. I don't recall Bethel doing the same.

Did he even play one offensive play in the playoffs?....the last catch he made was a one yard loss as far as I can remember (I know, it wasn't his fault it was a bad play but still it goes to the point. Why doesn't he see 35 yard routes with his speed and size).

I am not sand bagging this guy yet - just saying his first year disappointing considering he was the second highest rated guy and we traded up for him.
