Default Pats may throw deep early against Indy.....

I was watching Pat Kirwan analysis on cbssportsline.com and he said he talked to recievers from Baltimore and K.C. after the game. Kirwan asked the recievers if they were to play the Colts again, what would they do differently. The recievers responded by saying they would throw deep early and often because the Colts defense are putting everybody in the box and overreacting on every run play. Take it with a grain of salt, but I wouldn't be suprised to see the Pats play action the Colts to death early to set up the run later in the game. Both K.C. and Baltimore tried to run right at them with little success. We shall see.

They'll find out Randy can't run consistently anymore. He'll drive [Tom] Brady and [Bill] Belichick crazy. This is just my personal opinion from what I saw: He's losing his legs. He's becoming an old man fast.

If Herm Edwards and Brian Billisk had half a brain they would have figured this out. Everyone knew the Colts were going to do whatever it takes to stop the run and they just kept banging their heads against the wall.

Two years ago it was Brady's MO to go deep on the first drive, often the first play of the game. Crowd loves it, and it's great when it connects!

When it doesn't, then 2nd and 10, drop back, hit the WR and pick up the FD...

Can't wait till tomorrow...

There is no doubt that going deep is a good idea. The only good play the Ravens had all week was Clayton going deep, but the moron fumbled after the catch. It could go to Chad, Reche, Gaffney, anybody, but we HAVE to do it.

If they throw a few long bombs, I really only see them going to Caldwell or Jackson if he even plays. They are problably the two most capable of going deep.

Even if they don't work it will help to get the safeties out of the box and then we would have more of a shot of running it.

Remember the last time Brady tried to go deep to Gabriel in end zone.....it got picked off. Maybe he ran the wroong route but there were several colts around him.

Now I agree on throw first to set up the run. But I think they should spread the field and throw deep if you have single coverage and they have had it in the past with pretty much all the receivers so the opportunity will be there.

They need to see what Indy is gonna do. And this is where play action will be very useful NEM. The key will be the O-Line again giving Brady enough time for the deep pattern to develop.

If the Colts are going to bring thr safeties but then they have to try deep. If the safeties go deep then Maroney and Dillon HUGE days.

This is where the versatility of the tight ends pays off. You can keep them in for protection and shift them to the slot whereby the colts can't substitute personnel and brady would have keymatchups.

Brady panicked on that play, IMO. He was rolling, scrambling, etc. By his own admission, he forced that one in there.
