Default Patriots Mocking Merriman

I looked at threads but didn't see this mentioned. Apologies if this is a duplicate.

I was just watching FSNE Sports Tonight and they had some video clips from the game.

After Vrabel sacked Rivers, he did a very emphasized energetic Merriman lights out routine.

Colvin did it in the bench area facing the stands with a really angry energy. Then he turned around and did it facing the field.

Even Wilfork got into the act !! He was in the bench area and his demeanor was NOT pleasant either.

While it doesn't seem to have been reported as a general attitude of the Pats players, it sure looks like many on the team were really p..sed at Merriman in particular. Fascinating.

It's good to see NFL players police their own IMHO. The Chargerettes are just upset that it was "Their Cheater" who got called out.

If I were on the Pats' team I would be *very* upset at any opposing player woofing at a "pep rally" that he is going to "punch Tom Brady in the mouth". That would light my fuse big time, and I would relish the chance to put that moron in his place. I think that is what the Pats' actions and demeanors reflected.

It's more of a testimony from the Pats to Brady as a man and a team mate, as it is to his playing skills.

Listening to Peter King yesterday, essentially he said both teams were wrong, he felt that the Chargers were more so than the Pats though, he also spoke of many incidents where this type of behavior happened.. it is more of a story than it needs to be.

Glad you mentioned. I wasn't aware of anything in the media about this.

Actually, WERE there reports about this DURING the game? I was just focused on the post game celebration and thought everyone else was.

Regardless, enough talk about sore losers.

Vrabel, Colvin, Wilfork--guys playing with an edge. I like it-a team can't win without guys like these. Football is an in-your-face game.
