Arrow To those hoping for a specific officiating crew...

...sorry, there are no crews now -- they've all been broken up. The conference championship games and Super Bowl will have all-star crews assigned. The best of the best of the best.

This is good, oui?

It is HORRIBLE.

Has the NFL learned absolutely NOTHING from last year's playoffs.

Last year was the ABSOLUTE WORST officiated playoffs I have seen in my 42 years on this planet. And I attribute it in large part to the breakup of officiating teams. At least then the head ref knew what he had in each guy and if someone was susceptible to making bad calls in one area the head ref would talk it over and over ride him. Now he knows jack xxxx about the other guys with him.

Then there is the conspiracy theory that I don't want to hang onto; but when the calls were as bad as they were last year in the Indy-Pitt game against Pitt and in the SB against seattle ............you just gotta wonder????
Is it possible the "commish" hasn't told his "SELECT" crew what the outcome is that he wants. Again I prefer to believe they were just INCOMPETENT; but you do have to wonder.

I agree, it's not good. In fact, it was downright awful in last year's Super Bowl.

This past weekend's crews were also All-Stars?? If so, then they were not bad, as far as I could see. Anyone who had a different take, please say so.

I watched all 4 games. There was not a single one without at least one if not several (Pats game at least 6) CRINGING MOMENTS.

Cringing moments was when I could see absolultely IRREFUTABLE VIDEO EVIDENCE of either a call 100% opposite of what was called on the field or a call that JUST FLAT OUT WASN'T CALLED. (see LT facemask and 2 holding calls on SD OL that were NOT called.)

Not sure what games you were watching. Did you perhaps turn on ESPN CLASSIC by accident??????

No they were not. The all-star crews START with the conference championship games and continue with the SB.

It seemed to me that the message the league sent down was to let the teams play, and unless its flagrant, keep the flags in your pocket. And Napolian has freaked out in public about it already. So, if they keep this trend up, the Dolts will hold on every play. And we will absolutely clock their WR's and Pay-a-ton.

That's certainly what they did last year (all star crews starting with the conference championships), but I thought they had said very distinctly that was a one-off after last year.
