Absolutely fantastic. I haven't seen that in five years. The SB wasn't shown live on terrestrial TV here so I had to watch the highlights, as live, the next day. As I have admitted elsewhere, I thought they were brave and crazy to go for it on that final drive. I was in a state of disbelief afterwards as I thought that I would never see a Patriots win.

Holy cow, that STILL gives me the chills. A top-5 moment of my life for sure. The guys looked so young then. Brady in particular looked like a baby.

Thank you for that post. I haven't watched that for a couple of years. Now it's time for 3 games to glory (as soon as the wife goes grocery shopping)

What's your favorite play of the drive? Mine's a toss-up between Brady throwing it away to avoid the sack and the pass to Brown for a big chunk.

for me, although i know all the implications of Redmonds play to get out of bounds, it HAS to be the pass to Brown. It instantly made me think of the Montana to Rice pass in the drive against the Bengals that set up the TD pass to Taylor. Also, i'll the never forget the exhiliration I felt to see that it was going to get us into Adam range. That was the play that won the Championship. I know the pass to Wiggins made it easier, but I was convinced Vinatieri could make it from 53.

By the way, the kick itself was beautiful. Right down the middle, as high as could be. It would have been good from 58.

But, like others, I was sure there was 2 seconds left. I didnt at first jump up and say "we won"! The whole time i was concentrating on, ok, is the snap good, is the hold good, is the kick good. As it went in im thinking, ok, are there any penalties?? If not,ok, now we have a kickoff to defend. Even when Summerall said it was over, even when everybody spilled the field, as I was SURE the Rams would protest and they would get a kickoff. It wasnt until I saw Martz walking off disgusted did it hit me IT'S OVER!!!!!!!!!

THEN, i let loose!!!!

But I could watch that Brady to Brown pass all day. Perfect, in stride, Now I knew Brady was our Montana.

AMAZING! I never noticed this until I watched your Youtube again last night.

Many have made a big deal about how cool it was that when Brady spiked the ball before AV came on, how it bounced right back up into his hand. I remember Bill Simmons mentioning that kind of thing doesn't happen more than 1 in 100.

Guess what? That wasn't the only time on that drive it happened! Check out what happens when Brady did his first spike on that drive with 41 seconds to go to kill the clock.

Yup.

Without question it was Redmond's effort to get out of bounds after picking up the first, he doesn't get out there...we lose.
