Default Jets Laveurnius Coles still hurting....NY Times Story

Not sure if you guys saw the hit from Zach Thomas on Coles but it was a violent collision and Coles was nearly unconcious before he hit the ground.

He might be a little tentative about crossing over the middle sunday to be met head on by a linebacker or safety.

Here's the article in the NY Times today....

Coles is the only one I really fear on the Jets O. He doesn't fall down after a catch ala Marvin Harrison, and tends to break harmless gains into big ones. He's a tough little SOB and I doubt he has any fear about going across the middle again.

It was a nasty hit, but you have to wonder if Mangini is playing this up to the media for a psych game.

I respect Coles. I remember him playing in a game that Washington were losing easily to the Eagles with Patrick Ramsey as his quarterback. He was about the only member of the Eagles offense who didn't give up. He was excellent in the two earlier games this season. In fact, the only thing that I can think to say negative is that his first name still strikes me as stupid (can we call Cotchery "Shirleyus"?).

No doubt but I don't think he's quite in Coles' class, and it probably makes Cotchery better that Coles is on the team and not vice versa. Or I could be talking out of my ass

I've seen alot more of Coles than Crotch over the years for obvious reasons.

Coles...very few offensive players have done more damage against us in the past few year. I friggin hate that guy (in the hate=respect sort of way).

Coles has the same kind of quality to me that Wayne Chrebet had. It's that irritating, get under your skin, want to see him get crushed by Rodney kind of quality
