It was mentioned yesterday that the Jaguars have 16 players in the IR.

Also, the Eagles have quite a few players on the IR again.

Harrison was gone for awhile..Hobbs was gone for a bit.

Graham has been hurt this year..Neal..

* There's other teams with far more injury problems with thier best players on IR. Injuries are going to be there every year. It's part of football every year and really isn't a good excuse with the possible exception of losing your franchise QB. IMO, it's just excuse making.

there is also mitchell, tebucky jones, gay, and pass - not starters or stars but all solid players that could contribute at ST and add depth
add in geno and seau thats a decent sized IR

could certainly be worse

I do not think the injuries have been as bad as 05 or possibly 04...maybe closer to 03...but nowhere near 05. I agree it IS part of the game and no excuse at alll.

The Patriots are fairly healthy going into the playoffs, assuming no boo boos this coming week. I have no complaints.

What starters are out ? Wilson and Seau. Anyone else ? (assuming Vince and Ben are OK for Playoffs Week 1)
