I would expect that two of the four special teamers would have made the team. Andrews and others have more than made up for these players.

Don't agree with that statement. Leftwich hasn't proven himself.

and injuries are part of the game. so who really cares?

The Patriots consistently have tons of injuries as oppossed to having one year of bad injuries.

Harrison is not a bad injury? Ty Law is not bad injury? Losing your center isn't a bad injury?

what consititutes a bad injury?

i think going to the IR is bad

You're misunderstanding. I said the Pats don't just have one year where they get pelted with tons of injuries. EVERY year they are among the most injured teams in the league.

If this is really true, then the conditioning program should be questioned.

so what is your point behind your statement? are you saying bad luck or conditioning as mentionned above?

maybe they are just an incredibly physical team and that takes its toll, not too mention they played in a ton of games in their back to back superbowls.

I'm not saying anything about the reason one way or another.

My point was just that during the game the announcer said Jack Del Rio won't feel bad for the Patriots injury situation because he has a butt load himself. And my point was that on any given year there are teams with a lot of injuries, but every year the Patriots are near the top of the list of most injured teams, so I don't think teams like the Jags can say they have it as bad as them.

But I don't think it is a conditioning problem. Kraft cuts no corners and brings the team the best facilities and meal programs. I don't think the medical services and conditioning would be any different.

In fact, I believe the team has the same conditioning coach as the great Cowboys teams of the 90's, and during one of the Pats games Troy Aikman went out of his way to say how great he is.

Mike Woicik has 6 superbowl rings the most of any coach in the NFL, was named conditioning coach of the year on two occasions.. hard to criticize him for broken bones..

The conditioning program should be questioned if there is a rash of hamstring or groin injuries that land players on the IR. However, when you review the Pats injuries from 2003 to present, you will see that a majority of them are of the catastrophic nature. Ones that no matter how much stretching or strength training you do, they aren't going to be prevented. Like Harrison's broken arm. Wilson's broken arm. Seau's broken arm. Light's ACL. Koppen's torn shoulder ligaments. etc. etc.
