I certainly think so...Tayler is injured and if he is in the game he may go out early..and that is OK. Drew is another thing...IF he has to carry the load, he will wear down and be less effective over time. He makes it as a change of pace back with Taylor carrying the load. I do think they can be slowed down and leave it to Garrard to make plays..THAt is not happening.

No, I repeat no if they stay in the 3-4. Ron Dayne picked up about 90 or so yards. If no vince and the Pats stay in the 3-4 I think they'll be shredded for 175+ yards rushing minimum.

to be honest , we have to win this game on offense, if we get some kinda lead even score fast first then it helps our D- sure it applies to all opponents but more so this week against a very good jax D , it really is an onus on our offense IMO. Defensively it may be like the miami game early on but really depends how well we run the off.

The easiest way to stop it would be to get a lead and then Jax would be forced to pass. Last week the Texans had some success running the ball but it didn't really matter because they were down so much. Regardless, I think the run defense will be OK. It won't be as good as when Vince is in there but I don't think they are going to get "shredded."

Getting the lead was old patriot football. this team has been unable to do that consistently. the old pats were known for their first drives and getting ahead.

ideally they would have gotten the lead in every game. i just don't see the offense exploding against a good team and putting up major points.

Perhaps...

No matter though, this appears to be the QB's game to win or lose (on paper)...

we will be fine...we will bend but not break on run D...vince is a big part but we still have way above average LB's no matter what ppl say..
its not like we are trying to play the 3-4 with NO NT, wright can at the very least will take up a block for the LB's to make the tackles....our run D is not based around one guy. keep in mind the people playing around big vince...jarvis, seymour, warren can more then hold their own...

in fact run defense is not what im worried about at all....its our offense turning the ball over and lack of production...our defense WILL and always keeps us in the game its up to brady and the offense to take advantage..

one more note...people were complaining about not converting on 3rd & goal last week...i think the playcalling was pretty conservative...we didnt need the points..we should do better this week its been a strong point over the last few years

Good points and I agree about our offense being intentioanlly conserative last week.

The defense has played some games better than others but the bottom line is that in every game this year the defense has played well enough to win. The deciding factor is whether the offense can get it together and pull their weight, and this game will be no different.
