Question What is the Motivation for Saying the Tape was Purchased?

Note: I am being 100% Serious in this thread.

If you are a Miami player.. And you figured out Brady's protection signals... and you figured this out from an audio tape that the team bought from some "unknown source"..WHY IN THE HELL WOULD YOU EVER TELL ANYONE?

seriously

there are a few options here...

1.) they did actually do it.. they are incredibly stupid and admitted to doing it when it never was in question. Everyone just thought New England got killed and played like crap.. if you did do it why would you admit to Buying the tape when you could just say it was given to you or you picked it up from the TV...So you have the signals and you made it public they were bought and now everyone knows and the pats fix the problem... But they didn't just say they figured out our protection, they said that it was bought, that there was a transaction.

what is the motivation for saying it was purchased?

2.) They didn't do it and are terrible liars. In this option Miami didn't actually buy any tape or know any of the signals... they outplayed the Pats and won the game...
Yet a member(s) of the team says that they DID buy the tape. This could be done purely just to mess with the Pats in hopes that they have difficultly correcting a problem that they do not have..... thus, they waste time, effort, and they "get inside the pats' heads".

What is the motivation for saying it was purchased?

Either way, it was admitted by a Dolphin player/players that An audio tape was BOUGHT. For whatever reason they chose to specify a transaction when it was completely unneccessary.

I think that Pats fans ought to take our lead from TB, say the whole thing is a bunch of crap and drop the subject. We're starting to embarrass ourselves.

What is the motivation for saying it was purchased?

And the motivation for a non-playoff bound team who has just finished playing there 2nd game of the year versus a playoff bound divisional opponent to "get inside their head" is .............................. ? what ?

I think the most likely explanation is that somebody who didn't know where the tape came from just said 'we bought it'. So I would just throw that line out and disregard its relevance.

The only thing that concerns me is IF the fish actually did learn something from studying a mixed audio-video tape that ACTUALLY helped them. This then points that the Pats did not have a sufficiently agressive Information Protection plan. (i.e. they weren't changing their call meanings from week to week or tailoring blocking packages to account for specific individuals from week to week [i.e. Jason Taylor]). If that was the case; which Brady and BB both say was not the case; .......... then the Pats have major coaching issues that they need to fix.

Every football player studies tape. How often have you heard our guys say they study someone else's tendencies and watch themselves to see if they are using right technique. So maybe this one week Miami did get an advantage studying the tape and diagnosing a few things. I am sure if BB gets a chance to study that Miami tape he will see what they were doing to us and come up with a counter-strategy.

What I am not sure about right now is whether or not the current UNINJURED players have the talent or motivation to implement the plan BB will develop.

the dolphins players are enjoying the highlight of their season. they're at the top and are enjoying it. the whole tape thing was them saying "not only did we beat you up but we outsmarted you too." they were bragging, and we all know small penises why people brag.

they bought the tape. what's debatable is just how useful it was. brady's point was that the dolphins simply smacked down the pats and that the reason wasn't that the dolphins watched any tape. i tend to agree with him.

I don't brag that much. I'm offended.

Well, since the published reports I read said its usually game tape from the networks, since they tend to capture some of the audio that can be boosted, I do seem to recall a standard statement "prohibiting the duplication of the game without the expressed written consent of the NFL"

Who knows - maybe a player wouldn't want to get the team into hot water with the networks and felt it was smart to make clear they'd paid for the broadcast, not copied them for free?

If someone had the tape and didn't know where it came from, do you really think they would be stupid enough to just say "we bought it"?

how ridiculous is that?
i know they are professional athletes but i can't imagine someone just saying "we bought it" to explain where it came from b/c they are truly that dumb

i just don't think that is the type of thing you say.

You either bought it, or you said you bought it for a specific reason.

Duplication is fine, the prohibition is against rebroadcast/re-transmission via cable or public airwaves.
