Default Question for those who paid attention so far this season (Brady related)

I saw the preseason games.....

I like what i have seen most of the time, but one thing that was there last reg season is still there, and its Brady missing open recievers deep (usually Moss)

either hell throw too far, or hell throw too short, but rarely right on target

usually the reciever cant catch up to the ball, or has to slow down for it and the defenders catch up

now that is what ive noticed watching parts of the first two preseason games...however

reading everything from camp, it seems brady has been spot on with everything, including the deep throws

so my question is this, is Brady still jittery? in practise he knows no one will hit him so hes fine, but in game action he is open to getting hit?, which screws up his throws???

Well, in the last game he was 10 for 12. Exactly what would it take for him to have done for you to say he wasn't jittery, 11 for 12 or 12 for 12?

That's pretty much your answer.

The last bomb he missed to Moss was around a 65 yard bomb- that's just about the upper end of his reach. You could see Moss slow up to try and catch it, but that allowed the double team to catch up with Moss and deny him the pass.

Plus there was pass interference on that play anyway.

I think Brady's worst throw was the one he threw behind Wes that cost 20+ yards of YAC.

The one he threw that Wes almost died on was accurate but not very nice.

Perhaps, he's refusing to throw accurate bombs, until Kraft gives him more money?

seriously, he looks fine. Thats a hard throw to make.

They actually interviewed Wes after the game and asked him how he felt about his performance. Paraphrasing here, but he mentioned that he could have run the route better to create more separation from the DB and kind of implied that the throw was supposed to be where it was but because the route that he took wasn't as crisp as he wanted was what led to the throw being seemingly thrown behind him.

OK, hopefully those are all the answers that do not answer the question...

his general completion % is irrelavent, im only talking about long bombs

and i would like to have brady back 100% just as much as the next guy, but was wondering if anyone else had noticed the same thing i have

I'll pay closer attention to it tomorrow.

Do you know what the typical completion percentage is on long bombs? Its pretty low. Lets put it into perspective. Last year Brees was 9 of 25 throwing past 30 yards. Manning was 7 of 27. It isn't like he is expected to complete many of those so I wouldn't make too much out of it, yet.
