There are two things which lead to high scores in our contest: when we lose, and when we blow out our opponent. In the spirit of Thanksgiving, let's give thanks for the latter! Only two players were closer than two touchdowns: pats1's call of 31-6 seems close but is still 10 points off. But Congratulations to frankiesfly, who with his 35-7 prediction got the score half right.

I am sure after T-ShirtDynasty saw the game and knew he was 28 points off he expected his stay at the top of the season leaderboard to come to an abrupt end. But not so fast! The average score this week was 25, and most of the leaders did that or worse. Shakadave beat the average by just a point but it was enough to tie T-ShirtDynasty at the top with PatsDeb still just one point behind. pats1 was the big mover, moving up 9 spots to 4th place only 2 points back. Closer than ever!

pats1, you noticed an overly cautious mood in the Packers picks, and made the greatest statement pick in the history of this contest so far. (If I had known Warren would play that day I would have gone a little more in that direction, but still not to the extent you did.) What historians are already calling your "Wusses Pick" will long be treasured by this participant. If I don't win this year, I hereby hope you do.

It's usually very good to pick well when a game goes contrary to the common expectation. Last week you were in 2nd place with a score of 10, but this week a defensive battle was expected and ended up happening (even though few anticipated the way in which it actually happened, 9 turnovers my a##). So this week (shhhh, don't tell anyone I took a peek at the results) you were only 3 points off but -- you finished in an 8-way tie for 6th place!
