Question APB for Doug Gabrial ....

As anyone seen him, he was becoming a nice reciever but have not seen him since he fumbled against the Jets.. What is more disturbing, I think Chad Jackson could be higher on the depth chart.. If fumbling causes to be in the doughouse, than Kevin Faulk, and Corey Dillon must have permanent Visa's from there...

Yeah...it is kind of sketchy that he was seemingly benched b/c of the fumble, BUT...

As BB says, "all the receivers played". After all the talk about the Pats receivers, they are at the point where no matter the personnel on the field, somebody's gotta sit, and that somebody is probably a fairly talented receiver. Like BB said, b/c they have 5 quality options at wideout + TEs, they are best to rotate, keep them fresh, and take advantage of everyone.

Many people on talk radio think there must be more to it than the one fumble--practice snafus? IMO, they're trying to get Gaffney game time experience with Tommy as well as letting Jackson develop. Most of our sets seem limited to 3 WR's and 2 TE's. Working Gaffney in makes sure we have 4 WR's Tommy is comfortable throwing to, in case of injury.

``The officials now are evaluating the players and their performance, I mean, that's great,'' Belichick deadpanned. ``I can't say how much that means to me, really.''
