Could the tightness police pleas define "tight" as used in these posts. I have never been able to figure out if that was a good or bad trait ever since I first saw it used in relation to Maroney in pre-season.

Please enlighten me.

Gaffney took #10 because he wore that number in college at Florida.

Come on, it can't be as simple as that. Why the hell would he choose 10 just because he likes the number and/or has worn it before. Who has ever heard of such a thing. There must be some kind of conspiracy going on below the surface.

My guess: only if he performs perfectly ("a perfect 10") will the Pats bequeath him a tight number in the 80s. Everyone knows this is SOP in the NFL.

Hmm, three veterans "to work in" at week 7...that brings up this point to ponder: right now Chad Jackson ranks average among the team's WRs in tenure working with Tom Brady and the Pats offensive schemes -- behind Brown and Caldwell, but ahead of Gabriel and Gaffney. Wow.

This team is LOADED with offensive talent but has a ways to go in terms of gelling. The beautiful thing is that they're 4-1 and only 4 of their remaining 11 games are against teams with winning records. Even with some growing pains they should take the division easily while finding their rhythm, then hit the playoffs at full steam. I like this team, a lot.

CJ should get that many reps or more. He has more potential than any other wideout on this team, and the only way he is going to live up to that potential is if he plays in the game. He admitted himself that the speed of the pro game was a big adjustment, he needs to be in the game as much as possible to become adjusted to the pros.

I don't think Caldwell was signed to be anything above the #3, and he will be a very good #3. But with Jackson off the injury report, I think he should replace Caldwell and join Gabriel as one of the two wideouts on the field in the 2 WR packages.

The only one who should have his reps restricted, is probably Jabbar Gaffney. I know this is a fluid situation, but remember, he has been on the Patriots team less than two weeks.
