The Raiders traded projected starting receiver Doug Gabriel to the New England Patriots on Saturday in a move that stunned teammates. After all, it's Porter who demanded a trade.

Box, why do you keep doing this to us ... linking these tremendous out-of-town articles?

Doug Gabriel at his best is inconsistent in his route running asnd catching and holding on to the football. Art Shell's message is clear-produce or you're history.

Doug Gabriel is lazy and inconsistent in his play. He can take his loser attitude to the Patriots--they deserve him. Doug Gabriel is a legend in his own mind. He never made any great catches or was , at any time, feared by the oppostion.

Ummm, I'm a little confused. Didnt he jump past Jerry Porter to line up across from Moss this yr? For a guy that was a fifth rd. pick and with only 3 yrs of nfl experience, they talk like he was a wasted 1st rounder. Oh well, time for BB to turn someone elses trash into our treasure. Brady will make the kid better, and so will the coaching. Another part where I am a little confused. The raiders camp all said the guy had a great offseason and played well during preseason, and art shell has never had the kid in a real whole season. So, how can they say that art shells message is clear?
The raiders organization is an absolute joke. And, art shell is a joke. Lets see how well the rest of the team produces this yr.

THIS is the best comment:

Another hum drum year of lossess, failure, and blame gaming. I really miss the old days...washed up drunks and coke fiends who knew how to play and needed to win to appease some deep psychology. 1976 was the beginning of the end...and Flores' Super Bowl Team in the early 80's was the nail in the coffin. The Raiders have never been the same since, and died soon after. Unlike today's ego driven pop stars...all flash, no depth, and no need to win, the Raiders will only come back to life when they get players that need to win in a bad way, vs. the players they have that only want to win to feed their egos and paychecks.
Now that's a realistic Raiders fan !

The Raiders may be thinking that they traded the wrong WR. Courtesy of

in the 20th paragraph or so, it seems Mr. Porter decided to park in Al Davis' parking spot, closest to the facility.......Nice.........

I like that with the Patriots the only way you get to park close is if you EARN it (ala Brady every year).
