Default Cobbs's fumble

I don't know wether Cobbs makes the team, but I hear a lot about the "fumble".
It looked to me he was down by contact. In reg season, that play is reviewed.
If he gets cut, he gets cut, but factoring this alleged fumble is off target imho.

It looked to me like he was not down by contact and it was a fumble.

It looked to me like this one play got to him mentally and completely ruined his game. Whether this costs him a roster spot, I don't know, but it makes things much iffier.

Down by contact, not down by contact... hold onto the ball and it's not an issue.

Having said which, anyone can fumble. Apart from the obvious cases of fumbleitis there's a lot of luck involved, right?

irrelevant. the game wasn't about winning, it was about executing, and evaluating.

Talking Re: Cobbs's fumble

I did'nt go back and replay it, but it looked like he was down to me. Of course, I've been drinking. And I want him to make the team (along with Evans).
But seriously folks, I don't think he played himself off the roster tonight.
Not like say...Beisel.

Childress fumbled and became more determined and had a great game - he makes the team.

Cobbs fumbled and it destroyed him, his play suffered after that and he could not overcome that adversity - he played himself off of the team.

Evans had a very steady game with nice runs, decent blocks and was in position at all times - he makes the team.

Tough business........

He dropped the pass and fumbled, then ran well I didn't see a meltdown?
