No Tyrone McKenzie there is no way he gets cut, coach had way too many good things to say about him to give up on him so soon, plus the fact that the TE have been seen lining up at FB where williams was at start of camp tells me that they are not quite as thrilled with his work there

Reiss' logic that we have to keep Bussey and Welch to keep other teams from claiming them so we cut McKenzie is dubious.
Mike hasnt paid attention to the fact that 5th-7th round players almost never get plucked off wavers at cutdown, and somehow thinks it would be better to have someone claim McKenzie.
Put me down in the camp that says we keep better players instead of guessing who someone else might want as thier 53rd guy.

Welker has come back much faster, so you have two veterans, two 2nd-year, and one rookie, and one ST. I think that is a good balance. Moss, Welker and Tate will be default starters.
However on the other hand, I am not projecting Slater to make the roster, and Aiken is on the bubble and I think may be cut because Chung has been groomed in Aiken's positions on ST (personal protector, gunner).
On offense he has the Pats going with the same five RBs, and Aiken over Holt at WR. On the offensive line he left Mankins and Kaczur off, has Ohrnberger missing the cut, and Ghiaciuc, Larsen and Wendell all making the roster.
Farley leaves Brace out, citing the old adage "you can't make the club from the tub"; not sure if he sees him being cut or headed to IR. He has seven DL on the roster, including Lewis, Pryor, and Kade Weston. Farley has nine linebackers on the squad, including Woods and Williams, with Alexander being cut. In the secondary he has Arrington and Wilhite making the team with Wheatley being the odd man out.

Holt is going to be a touch and go from what I have seen, price looks good one day and not so great the next, never the less he and holt would be competing for the same playing time from what I have observed at camp. Slater has to go and with Chung stepping it up on teams I might even consider cutting ties with Aiken I know they are diff positions but I look at it more in roster spots.

The other side of that is:
Aging Moss
Recovering Welker
Welkers backup
2 guys with virtually no NFL experience (one who was injured in08 and 09)
A st that you dont want at WR.
I think the experience is important.
While I agree it can go either way, it worries me to think that behind Moss and Welker are 3 guys with a combined 12(guessing) games of NFL experience.
