Who is the first Patriot with a Patriot SB ring to get inducted into the Hall of Fame?

I was just debating this with my brothers and father and seems like alot of our candidates hung onto their careers until recently or are still playing. Keep in mind this can count guys like CD or Ted Washington (if they are Hall of Famers) who may have grabbed one ring in a quick stint and even JR who didnt get the ring.


OH and shout out to those who went in tonite. Floyd Little, Emmit Smith, Jerry Rice, Dick Lebbeau, Russ Grimm,John Randle and Rickey Jackson

It may be Vinatieri. He's on his last legs, and the man played a big part in winning 4 rings. Just a matter of how long it takes for him to get in. It shoudnt be too long. He has a pretty unique legacy.

Rodney Harrison. He is the first of the big names to retire who is Hall of Fame worthy without the bias against his position or because he wasn't the "biggest or best" at his position. He was huge(IMHO) before he came to New England but stayed here long enough to be in this discussion.

After him it's gotta be Brady only because Vinetieri will play longer and being a kicker will have to face all the anti-kicker BS that comes with it despite his strong resume.

I would like to see Bruschi in there but that ain't happening for a long time, probably not until the other "great" LBs from the late 90s and early 2000s are in.

Ted W was my first guess but then I was suprised to find out CD (2007) actually retired before him. Any candidate retire before 2007?

A huge longshot would even be Larry Centers, as he was a nominee the last 2 years and is I believe 7th or 8th all-time in receptions.

This is off-topic, but I totally just realized something about Vinatieri...the Pats are 0-2 in Super Bowls without him and 3-1 with him...the Colts are 1-0 with and 0-1 without...is this guy a lucky charm?

Nice one who knows if really gets in but as you say he has been up for discussion our sure fires are mostly at least 4 or 5 years away or still playing.
