How sad that Craig "Ironhead" Heyward died of a tumor that wrapped around his brain. Tragic.

Ironic like when Mr. T got T-cell cancer...or when Lou Gehrig got Lou Gehrigs Disease. Also did you know Christopher Reeves last movie before his accident he played a paralyzed man?I saw an interview with him where he said he spent a lot of time in the wheelchair as "research".But back to the post its a tragic loss to go so young.Rest in peace.

Speculation abounds that steroid use was the culprit, a la Lyle Alzado.

I hope not, and I am ok letting the rumors about steroids die with the man. Good player, all loved him who saw him play. TY Ironhead.

Except that Lyle Alzado getting brain cancer from being a 'roid monster has been debunked quite thoroughly. That theory still persists for some reason, though.
