You just stole my guy. You and DH44 mentioned the bros Weathers. I was going to do a quiz question on one or the other.

Now I have to go with Bob Golic the bro of Mike Golic who is 1/2 of Mike & Mike on ESPN.

WR Kevin Lee
WR Greg McMurtry
RB Curtis Croom
QB Tommy Hodson
TE Lovett Purnell
DT Chris Sullivan (was once competing with Eaton at NT)
FB Kevin Turner (I think a lot of us have forgotten this guy - he wasn't bad)

Recent guys I thought would someday pan out that didn't:

WR Curtis Jackson
WR/RB Willy Williams
RB Anwain Womack
QB Kliff Kingsbury (at least I didn't say Major Applewhite)

Draft picks busts that might have been forgotten:
DT Jeff Marriott
DT David Nugent
TE Dave "homesick" Stechelski
CB Brock Williams (3rd rnd pick and never played a down for us)

Tim Fox FS frm the 70's. I think he was one of 3 first round draft picks we had one year.

Does anybody remember the trade that sent Plunkett west?????

Ultimately it turned into four players. I'm going off memory, which usually fails, but I'm going to say Fox, Vagas Ferguson, Pete Brock, and..............Horace Ivory?

Edit after looking it up:

QB Tom Owen
2 First rounders in 1976 (Pete Brock, Tim Fox)
First and second in 1977 (Raymond Clayborn, Horace Ivory)

Corey Croom. He actually started that playoff game we lost against Belichick's Browns. Other RBs on that team were LeRoy Thompson and Marion Butts.

Then Terry Allen and Raymont Harris were our saviors, at least until Sedrick Shaw or Harold Shaw could take over.

hows about a couple of retread running backs?

Mark VanEeghen

Marion Butts

EDIT: DH44 just beat me with Butts, so I'll toss in Chuck Foreman as a retread replacement.

PS--VanEeghen's daughter is/was a cheerleader, no?

RE-EDIT: Why yes...yes she is Mark's kid...

I think Vagus Ferguson and Roland James were first rounders in the same draft.
