Default Kipers Underrated - 3 Patriot Picks

For those of you that don't care for Mel Kiper, forgive me for this post. But, of all my draft guides, I would say he's the most well known.

In his guide, his list of underrated players includes three Patriot draftees.

They are: David Thomas, Ryan O'Callahan, and LeKevin Smith.

His mock draft had the players going:

Thomas - Early 3rd > Drafted late 3rd by Patriots
O'Callahan - Early 3rd > Drafted early 5th by Patriots
Smith - Late 3rd > Drafted late 6th by Patriots

Nice value. For those that wish each of those picks should have been OLBs instead of this kind of value, because you believe that was the teams biggest need. I completely disagree, but that's for another post.

In Kiper's Blue Draft Book that comes out about two weeks before the draft, he lists a lot of player bios,. but also has a top 100 players. Chad jackson was #12, the top WR.

Good point. I think because the Patriots got so many guys after where the "experts" had them going, we'll probably see some nice post draft grades.
