Arguement 1: True, the Broncos of '03 and '04 couldn't get past the Colts. Would they have beaten those Patriots teams? How about Pittsburgh? Those Broncos were a 6 seed for a reason.
Arguement 2: Cutler was Shanahan's pet project. The '06 Broncos were on pace to win 10-12 games and challenge for the division title, then Shanahan pulled the plug on the season. Denver would have easily surpassed the wild card teams of that year (KC and NYJ) and would have given the 3 and 4 seeds (Indy and New England) a run for their money in the playoffs. The Cutler experiment was a failure. The guy sucks. Denver's better off with Orton.
