I thought you meant the deadlines and not the total number of players.

Best guess browsing the roster, with Mankins included they are at roughly 79 guys signed so one more signing and they are at the limit. They still have four unsigned rookies so the cuts are coming...

Mankins doesn't count until he signs.

Figured it wouldn't...

They still have Amon Gordon listed on their roster but he was cut six weeks ago...that drops them down to 77 making them three under the limit.

For me, only the final cut matters since the cuts before then are to 80 amd 75. We could get to those numbers without any real effect on the roster.
