If we could get him for a reasonable draft choice with a reasonable contract and combine it with re-signing Branch I would be the happiest man in the world (well, tied with a bunch of you).

I would give up our #2 IF the contract was decent enough that we could still re-do Branch. Walker, Branch, Caldwell, Watson, Graham would be the weapons we need to have our Ferrari QB to really hit the gas on the open road.

#75 should do it. He's coming off an ACL tear and wants a new contract. That seems like 3rd rd value...

it seems as though a 3rd rounder wont do it. i could see maybe something like picks next year along with that or something of that standard. but with new orleans and denver in the mix(denver has a boat load of picks) it will be difficult to get him for just a 3rd.

Does GB really think they can get a 1st here? I know their FO is inept, but c'mon.

Depends on what the new contract would look like. The more the cap hit, the less the draft choice I'd give up.

yea, according to the new orleans paper:
Quote:
The Packers reportedly would not settle for anything less than a first-round pick in a trade for Walker. Perhaps they would consider the Saints' second-round pick, (No. 34 overall), but it also is possible the teams would discuss a combination of picks and players.

The Saints reportedly have discussed the possibility of trading fifth-year receiver Donté Stallworth, who also is scheduled to be a free agent after this season. Their interest in Walker might be tied to those efforts.

A pick this year and next is extra do-able as we're pretty much locked into some good comp picks with Givens, Vinatitraitor and Ashworth signing big deals and us not signing many to counter balance them.
