Maroney offers zilch except a low cost RB for the Pats who knows the system.

When he gets cut (not if) no team will pick him up and he'll be a campbody for Lions, etc.

He only ran well when Dillon ran well.

If he gets released, my guess is he'll play well for whatever team picks him up and the same people who called for him to get released here (you) will dissect the front office for actually being "dumb enough" to let him go (ala David Thomas last season). Maroney is a solid running back. But this point has been discussed to death, hasn't it.

If LoMo was to be cut, he would be picked up in a heartbeat. There are a number of teams who would want him. He may not be an immediate starter with his new team, but the guy has value.

There is no way the Pats cut him. Not w/ 3 other RBs on the wrong side of 30 and 2 of them habitually injured (may not be fair to Taylor but he was last year).

Whats being overlooked is the fact that Koolade changed cereals last year when he watches cartoons. He went from Cocoa Puffs to Captain Crunch. Then, the fumbling started to happen.

Hes crazy for Cocoa Puffs again.

There was an excellent discussion on Maroney on one of the PatsCast podcasts (the myths one) and the point was made (which I agree with) that the Pats run blocking system just doesn't support a runner with Maroney's style. So many times last year when he got the ball a defender was already in the backfield ans he did well to get 2 or 3 yards

I think we need to decide if we want a donwhill type of runner like Taylor or Morris or a more finesses runner like Maroney - for that reason he'll always do well for us in some games and badly in others

As has been said I think if he went elsewhere you'd see be productive

i expected more from him, no doubt; that's the reason why i'm a little bit hesitant to judge him

let's see this season; i really hope he will have a huge good one

Maroney's next contract on another team will be a minor one. It will be for a Kevin Faulk role, not a starting runningback.

His next contract won't be here, thank god.
