Default There MAY BE a cornerback named Ty coming to New England, but it ain't Ty Law!

It's Tye Hill, CB, Clemson.

Heard him on Sirius NFL yesterday and it sounds like the Pats could be very interested in him as a second rounder, if he's still there...

Here is the skinny on him:

PS: I have also heard talk about another corner, Richard Marshall from Fresno State and a WR, Sinorice Moss, from Miami...

You're gonna get slammed for suggesting Hill, or others, could fall but the reality is it's a deep, deep draft and some good players will be there. Hill ? Maybe not. But there's more chance of a player of his quality being there for our #2 pick then some want to acknowledge.

Richard Marshall won't last past early round 2 I'd love to pick that guy up. Tye Hill is another Smurf DB we don't need.

Hobbs is 5'7" on a good day. 2 inches is a bit of a difference.

believe me tye hill does not last until the second round, let alone get to our pick in the second
some will have him first on their cb draft chart
not me though

also, he is not our type of cb
he is all about speed and thats it

he's not physical at all, and he's terrible out of his hip breaks
in short, he's a raiders type of cb

Hill won't last until round 2 - might not even last until 21.

And if anyone is paying attention the last few years, everyone is turning to smaller CBs because the enforcement of illegal contact is making the big physical CB a dinosaur. The big guys can't put their hands on the WRs and with the exception of the very few elite big guys they can't run with WRs.

What good is a the size a big corner brings when he can't cover anyone?

Although I agree on Hill, I wish I'd kept a list of players who won't make it to Round X for our pick. Because I know some of them will. I think it's 50-50 that Marshall makes it to our Round 2 pick.

Hill seems to think the Pats are interested in him, but I can't imagine them using their #21 pick on him. In that case, it would have to be the second rounder...

I'm betting if you told Hill that Pats were interested in him but not at 21 his question would be how much higher they are trading up to get him.
