Neal's body has shown pretty clear signs of breaking down due to injury and/or age. The O-Line is hurt when he is not in, however we cannot be sure of the impact of the loss of Mankins because he has never been hurt. He has been about as dependable as it gets for us.

This is pretty much dead on. He's still in the prime of his career and has played out his rookie contract without even so much as missing a practice. I don't see why $6M - $7M per year (for about 5 years) would make the FO's buttholes pucker up. Anything more than that, though, and we should definitely start looking for his replacement.
