Re: Morris, Antwine and Cunningham for Pats Hall Of Fame
The only one I saw play was Cunningham and in my mind he is certainly deserving, but if you go by number of times voted AFL all star or NFL Pro Bowl, I'll have to vote Morris too.

Actually it's not, which is why old time fan Robert Kraft keeps nominating him.
After John Hannah, there might be a handful of great Patriots prior to Belichick. Houston Antwine is an all time great Patriot and all time great AFL, the best at his position 1st team all time AFL team in Canton...
Ahead of Buck Buchanan!!!! NFL Hall of Famer Buck Buchanan did not make the all AFL team, Antwine did!
It's getting to be absurd but the 50th Anniversary team is
DT Houston Antwine
DT Vince Wilfork
Jim Lee Hunt is a fine player, but he's not on the all time AFL team or second team, nor on this team, but he's in the Pats HOF at tackle, while Antwine is not.
If I'm lying I'm dying, Antwine should have been one of the first inductees, he'll be among the top 5 in the Pats HOF once he's in, just vote for him OK?
It's tough captain, but most here never saw him or heard of him. I believe the original hall was created in 1991 (?) in a barroom, I'm guessing. There wasn't really a coherent tradition back then.
Either they did it quickly and forgot, or he pissed in somebodies cornflakes, because to have Jim Lee Hunt and Dee in their without the best lineman is absurd.
They retired Hunt's number fer crissake!
A creditable case could be made for Antwine in the NFL Hall of Fame, I read a Western Mass beat writer who believes that, and the NFL Hall of fame voters selected him as one of two tackles on the All AFL team ahead of Pro football Hall of Famer Buck Buchanan.
It's an oversight folks, it's not even in doubt that Antwine should have been one of the first to go in, so ask your grandpa and give him a vote.
Of course Morris also should already be in.
Cunningham? Well, it's hard to call myself RayClay and say there aren't a few others (also Julius Adams) who should be in line, but he's a fine player.
Re: Morris, Antwine and Cunningham nominated for Pats Hall of Fame
Antwine and Morris already have an uphill battle because of the positions they played. On top of that most current fans are not old enough to have seen either one of them play, and their teams are sadly remembered more for their losing seasons than their winning years. On top of that the one measureable for Antwine is sacks. Unfortunately sacks weren't even recorded as a stat for part of his career, plus there were fewer in his day because teams ran the ball far more often then than they do now.
Antwine and Morris both belong in the Patriots' Hall of Fame. Whomever gets voted in this year, the other should be voted in next year. Their biggest hurdle may be that as each year goes by a more familiar name stands in their way, such as Cunningham this year, Bledsoe and perhaps some player from the mid-70's next year.
Hopefully fans will be smart enough to vote one of them in this year, and the other one in very soon - preferably next year. Cunningham and the others can get their chance a little bit later.
