Even though he's old and I'm not a fan of old players, T.O. keeps himself in great shape unlike Galloway. I hope the Pats sign him and draft a receiver with their early picks. T.O. played on a horrible Bills team and caught for 800+ yards and 5 TD's. I'm pretty sure he's over wanting to be the "go to guy" and think and would keep quiet if he had a chance to play for a team that actually has a QB.

We need a good #2. Hopefully that is one of the many 2nd round rated WRs.

I was thinking about this before, it could happen:

I think Edelman has the potential to be as good as Welker/have similiar production. His rookie season changing a position, he showed great juke ability and speed. In the games he started, he seemed like he averaged a good amount of catches, not sure.

Hypothetically, what if Edelman has say 35 catches 400 yards a few TDs by week 5. What would you do? Trade Welker.

Hopefully this means a draft day trade for Brandon Marshall.

I would be fine w/ this move. Looking forward..... we need a Moss successor anyways.

(A) In terms of value, this is as bad an idea as the whole trade Brady fiasco from last year.
(B) I can only imagine the outrage from both the players and the fans.

a wr takes typically 3 years to GET the nfl....

immediate answers may come in the draft, they will NOT come at the wr position though

Perhaps you're right, but why would you expect any of the second rounders to be any better a prospect than Tate? We'd have two rookies and a hope. I guess my perference is for a veteran, which is seeming less likely to happen by the day.

But I guess the situation really depends on Belihcik's assessment of Tate, and of the wide receivers available between 22 and 53.

I guess that I would feel better if we drafted Bryant, Thomas or Tate.

My guess:

BB drafts Golden Tate and trades for Deion Branch.

If you believe the rumors, BB really wanted Percy Harvin last year until Minny scooped him up. Golden Tate could therefore be a replacement for Harvin, minus the off-field risk. The team would still have three 2nds to focus on the D and run game.

I agree with Reiss on Branch. He could easily end up back here on draft day(s).
