Whenever this tiny minority is kept from creating, or (as sometimes happens) is driven out of a society, the people then slip back into abject poverty.
This is known as "bad luck." RAH

ESPN Boston link: Essentially saying that AD is only useful on blitzes as a pass rusher. AD cannot create pressure on his own.
Thinking about this, would AD fit well with the Saints? They run a 4-3, have holes at both Will and Sam linebacker and Gregg Williams likes his blitzes.

I don't know the 4-3 prototype players that well so this is one that I'm opening up to the floor

MY GUESS
My guess is that the patriots have no interest in Thomas and will trade him or cut him before veterans are required to report. Also, I suspect that there exists one team who would be willing to "risk" a 7th.

As of now, Ninkovich would get the increased reps opposite Banta-Cain, with Woods getting a simil;ar number of reps to 2009. It is anticipated that we will add a rookie (or two) who would get some reps. A veteran and Crable are also possibilities.

BOTTOM LINE
I don't think that the patriots have Thomas in their 2010 plans.
I don't know that he'll be cut, but on the assumption they want him gone it doesn't really serve them to cut him any earlier than they have to, which is probably final cut downs.
if they hold out 'til the last minute they might get some team like wash, oak, or dallas to blink.
the uncapped year makes it just about the out of pocket money.
