Default Rank the decade's Super Bowl champs

Well, the NFL 2000's decade is over. Time to rate the champs.

Here's mine.

10. 2007 Giants
9. 2005 Steelers
8. 2001 Patriots
7. 2000 Ravens
6. 2006 Colts
5. 2002 Buccaneers
4. 2008 Steelers
3. 2003 Patriots
2. 2009 Saints
1. 2004 Patriots

I have the 2004 Pats as the best champion of the decade, however, I still think the 2007 Patriots are the best team of the decade.

The 04 Pats are clearly the best winner. I think you give the 08 Steelers too much credit, and I'd rank the Ravens higher.

Here's how I would rank them...

1. '04 Patriots
2. '00 Ravens
3. '03 Patriots
4. '02 Bucs
5. '08 Steelers
6. '07 Giants
7. '09 Saints
8. '06 Colts
9. '01 Patriots
10. '05 Steelers

With the Saints, I ranked every Super Bowl team that I felt was capable of beating them ahead of their 7th place spot. The 2000 Ravens are that high only because that is simply one of the greatest defenses I have ever seen. Ditto with the 2003-2004 Pats (great defense) and 2002 Bucs. The 2008 Steelers were a complete team with a dominating defense and a franchise quarterback. The 2006 Colts are at #8 only because the team got through the playoffs in spite of Peyton Manning. The 2001 Pats were our worst dynasty team, IMO. The 2005 Steelers realistically had no business winning that Super Bowl the way Big Ben played.

The best overall SB championship team IMO was the '04 Patriots.

The most dominant unit amongst all those championship teams was the '00 Ravens defensive unit. Those guys will go down as the second greatest defensive unit behind the '85 Bears.

Most underrated IMO goes to the '02 Bucs. That team fielded a tremendous defense and a very good underated offense.
