it comes down to coaching. BB has not been at his best over the past few seasons in certain areas. either that, the players HE drafts just aren't good enough.

"He’s the greatest quarterback to ever play the game. He goes from being a rookie that nobody is expecting anything from, to taking over with people saying he can’t do it, to winning three Super Bowls....It should already be obvious he’s the greatest quarterback to ever have played. "

Most NFL players don't know how to properly tackle. No one goes low and raps anymore. Diving at the runners legs is now the norm and sickening to see because it doesnt usually work. I must have been screaming about the tackling 5+ times Sunday.

Wilfork: check
Faulk: check
Edelman: check

After that, coaches and players fell short.

too many players these days are going after the fumble too instead of the tackle. it works maybe 5 % of the time, if that. just tackle the guy. if you have the skill to tackle and go for the fumble, that's good. go for it. but a lot of guys surprisingly don't have that talent. as a coach i'd be beyond mad.

Many, if not most, coaches preach the "stand him up and strip him" method. That may be one reason tackling is historically substandard on all levels.
