Default I wonder who gets Welker's spot in Pro Bowl

Obviously its not the most pressing matter at hand but does Moss get Welkers pro bowl spot? Does anyone know who's next on the alternate spot?

I hope not. I want him playing in the SB not the PB.

He would still get the recognition even if he has to decline in order to play in the SB

I would presume so, although it's not entirely clear how that works this year (in the past, the rule has been you're a Pro Bowler if you were among the initial invites or you actually played in the game; players who turned down alternate invites are not Pro Bowlers).

I'd imagine it's Vincent Jackson or Moss.

My bet is on Santonio Holmes or Hines Ward, seeing as how they are not in the playoffs. Moss tends to miss these games, and I bet that Vincent Jackson may be saving himself for something better.

Cribbs is a monster and I read an article yesterday from Charlie Frye who said that Edelman was a carbon copy of Cribbs only Edelman catches the ball a little better...thats quite a compliment.

I think it will work a little differently this season. In the past if you declined as an alternate you weren't a probowler. This year if you're a probowler and your playing in the SB you don't get to decline. You have to appear for introductions but you are not allowed to play or practice for the game. So if Moss were selected as an alternate he could accept and let the chips fall where they may. And he could even back out due to injury if he isn't in the SB as that isn't the same as declining.
