With all due respect, is it out of the realm of possibility that BB isn't showing all of his card? We know how his "injury report" works, Harbs follows the same lineage.

Why Belichick has picked Casserly to have a public war with, I have no idea. It's very unBelichick and Casserly, unfortunately, was right about the camera issue.

I agree. Both the field and Casserly comments were very unBelichick. Thing is, Casserly has been right since he left the Redskins, notably Mario Williams and numerous non-Pats stories, mostly league business, he's broken on CBS. I think it's just a personal issue with Belichick.

I actually enjoy Casserly a lot. Prob the only thing I really want to see on pre-game shows. He was right about Mario - bigtime - and he endured a lot of heat for the pick.

But, BB is still the best. He is funny. I guess he's so unfunny on camera that he's BECOME funny ! As long as he wins twice as much as he loses, he's OK.

Has any of you ever HAD a broken rib, let alone supposedly THREE of them. Rolling over in bed is something you try to avoid with broken ribs, let alone play a football game. Let alone try and throw a football with any accuracy. I'd believe bruised ribs, but playing NFL football with BROKEN ribs is beyond the realm of reality

All these guys just throw ***** against the wall and see if any sticks. In those rare instances that they are call on it, the simply restate their case even louder. When it looks like they are wrong, they continue to "say it ain't so". and when finally there can be no doubt that they are wrong, they simply ignore the fact that they made the original statement.

I'm wondering if this goes back to when Casserly was the GM of the Redskins and began with a deal that went South. There's a long, long, list of columnists, announcers, sportscasters, etc. who have trashed Bill, yet, he chooses to grind his axe with Charlie.

Some additional possibilities besides the personal angle (and clearly just speculation):

1.) This could lead to questions of whether or not the Patriots were being upfront 'enough' about the injury report.

2.) It's a convenient distraction in a week where questioning why Welker was on the field would be an alternate topic. When media sees media attacked, the focus changes.

My impression from listening to the BB interview was that he was speaking only in terms of Casserly's knowledge of what goes on within the Pats organization, especially after he said that Casserly never even attends any practices or games, so how would he be in a position to know anything about the Pats. However, I'm guessing that he doesn't mind if others interpret it more broadly, especially Casserly. Still, it is always a little surprising when BB lets some snark fly because it's pretty rare, but I get a kick out of it!
