Default Most Likely Wild Card Weekend Prime Time Matchup

Obviously it depends on the actually matchups, but given the possibilities for matchups, here are the matchups that would most likely end up as the Saturday Night Wild Card Weekend Matchup (in order)

1.) Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings (hands down)

2.) Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles
3.) Dallas Cowboys at Minnesota Vikings
4.) Pittsburgh Steelers at New England Patriots
5.) Baltimore Ravens at New England Patriots

Ouch

I really want the Vikings to win a SB if the Pats can't pull it off but I just don't see them beating the Pack a third time. Especially with their current struggles

Isn't it more likely that Dallas would win the NFC East?

True, but it's not likely; about the only scenario that could produce that result is if the Giants beat the Vikings and the Cardinals beat the Packers.

I don't think the Vikings can play the Packers in the first round. It's like the Pats v Jets possibility, I think it's nearly impossible.

That's what they tell you about winning the lottery

Yet every week or so some new ******* walks away with boat loads of money that should have been mine

Nearly impossible doesn't mean it won't happen. The networks and the NFL are probably salivating at the possibilities of one of the biggest football rivalries taking place in the playoffs

Especially with all the Favre drama

True, but Green Bay beating Arizona renders it impossible, as it simultaneously clinches the 5 seed for Green Bay and at least the 3 seed for Minnesota.

I just looked at it again and it's not as hard as I thought. If the Giants, Philly, and Cards all win the Packers play the Vikings.

Hard to say right now given the multitude of potential playoff games, but I would say Packers-Vikings would have to be the networks' first choice if it's available. After that I'd guess they'd want Pats-Steelers, Vikings-anybody, Pats-anybody, and Cowboys-anybody - though Dallas may be higher on that list considering the number of times they were either a 4:00 or primetime game this year.

I want to play Sunday @ 1 PM.

I hope that there is a great NFC matchup for Saturday prime time.
