I just heard that too. But, I also heard Cowher say that they would have gone for the TD on 4th. Would he have made it then? We will never know because of a gutless call by the ref.

Absolutely. The proper call would have afforded the Steelers a great opportunity to either a. score a conclusive TD, or b. tie the game. It also would have added some drama to a thoroughly boring game. But did we get that? No.

Lets all hope that the NFL takes the $100,000 it didn't spend on Montana's appearence fee and uses it to permanently install a couple of goal line cameras in each stadium. Any kind of an offset will leave a doubt behind on plays like that one.

That's great-n-all, and i applaud him for being a stand-up guy, but heck, it doesn't really matter what he thinks since we get to watch the goal-line replays over and over

I didn't think he was being a stand-up guy. I think it was a stupid thing to say, especially on national TV.
